Once the booking request has been made, as stated on the website and explicitly accepted during the purchase process—including the final step in which the withdrawal policy is accepted—you will not be able to change the name, date, or time, nor cancel the tickets, and therefore you are not entitled to any refund. There are no possible exceptions or reasons (COVID, illness, work reasons, trip cancellation, etc.), as published and defined by the museum’s refund and cancellation policy. Once the Purchase is made, THERE IS NO RIGHT TO RETURN OR REFUND OF THE AMOUNT PAID under the museum’s public regulations, except in the following cases:
  • If a purchased service cannot be provided due to the museum’s closure, you will be entitled to a full refund, which will be processed automatically via the same method used to pay for the ticket.
Can I exercise the right of withdrawal? +
No, as set out in Law 3/2014 of March 27, which amends the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of November 16. Article 103 specifies the exceptions to the right of withdrawal:

(l) The supply of services related to leisure activities, if the contracts provide for a specific date or period of performance.

Is it possible to eat inside the museum? +
Eating or drinking is not allowed in the museum’s exhibition rooms. However, the Museo del Prado has the Café Prado, where visitors can have breakfast, lunch, or a snack. Café Prado hours are Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 19:30, and Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 to 18:30.
Is there a cloakroom service at the museum? +
Yes, the Museo del Prado offers a free cloakroom service where visitors can leave coats and personal items that cannot be taken into the galleries. This service is available at all museum entrances, although capacity is limited.
